DescriptionThe piece is part of the Vitrum series, which explores the beauty of Icelandic glass flows and the interplay between precision and chance. The low chair consists of six glass blocks, fixed to a wooden structure with straps. The blocks are unique, formed from layered molten glass poured directly from the furnace and cooled slowly due to their mass. Air inclusions and subtle irregularities are preserved, giving each piece a singular character. This method allows the creation of larger glass furniture. The wood is fire-treated, referencing the surfaces traditionally used to transport and shape hot glass.
