The piece is part of the Vitrum series, which explores the beauty of Icelandic glass flows and the interplay between precision and chance. The wall shelf consists of a single glass block, held to the wall with a tension strap. The block is unique, formed from layered molten glass poured directly from the furnace and cooled slowly due to its mass. Air inclusions and subtle irregularities are preserved, giving each piece a singular character. The tension straps reference those used in the transport of flat glass, while the shelf celebrates the material’s natural expression with minimal intervention.
